TACKLE INTERVIEW HURDLES
What is your ability to confront interviewers? Do you panic and stammer, sweat and shy whenyou sit in front of interviewers? To my mind the most difficult interview time is when you are bombarded with a lot of questions and you could not answer any of them. It shows you have not fully prepared for that interview. We all know that interview questions vary depending on the company. But how does this affect you? Are you afraid that you might lose that job opportunity during interview? Is any thing you can do to gain confidence before and during interview?
Interview is a former meeting at which somebody is asked questions to see if they are suitable for a particular job. It is rather like a discussion between the interviewer and interviewee or questions and answers between the two. During interview, interviewer tests the intellectual of the interviewee to know his or her thinking ability, maybe he is fit for that job, how he can bring in development to the company, maybe he can face pressure and most importantly creativity. All these things are measured in each interviewee.
However, this is a good time to learn tips of interview. These tips are for all time and will help you survive chronic interview questions and even upper hand over other interviewees.
Prepare ahead of the interview date. First of all, make sure everything needed for the interview are ready. Choose your clothe two days to the interview, have your hair cut or style your hair, get writing materials for you will need them for interview.
Gather information about the company. You have know something about the company. You can do yourself a favor by going on internet to gather information about the company. What does the company produces it’s competitors, the strength and weakness of the company, the number of branches it has, the name of the directors. This will help you because some interviewer will not ask questions pertaining to your discipline.
Practice for your interview. It has been said that practice make one my perfection. Just take time to demonstrate in front of standing mirror or with your relative. How you will talk on that day of interview compose yourself. This one will give you confidence on that day.
Get to the interview venue on time. It is good to get to the interview venue ten to fifteen minutes before the time. This will make you set and relax your mind for the interview. More so, if there is information the company wants you to know, you will have access to first hand information. Beside, change of venue may occur; this will let you aware on time and move down to the place.
Properly dress. Dress properly; look professional with your dressing. Mostly dress in suit for interview, this will send signal to the interviewer that you are fully prepared for the job.
Have confidence during interview. This is the main job. Once you enter the interview room, greet the interviewer, give him a firm hand shake and smile at him. After sitting look straight into his eyes to gain confident. Be consistence with your answers because the same question might ask twice to know actual fact.
